Look out for our special hangtag

All our responsible products come with a dedicated handtag and are marked with "sustainable" online.

With a fast-growing sustainable collection and a close collaboration with CRS expert Anne Blirup from Sustainawear, FREEQUENT takes a step towards a more sustainable future.

Keywords are Better materials, Recyclable products, Innovation, Improving processes and Chemical awareness.

Responsible Consumption & Production

We want to use materials that minimize the environmental footprint considerably compared to its conventional counterpart. It is our ambition to continuously expand

our selection of sustainable fabrics, and we constantly source new and better materials, for both collections and packaging.

We are dependent on natural resources for our products, and we must make sure that our chosen materials do not jeopardise forests, biodiversity or otherwise cause harm to animals or nature. By supporting the sustainable management of forests, making sure that we use chemicals with great care, and optimising our water usage throughout our supply chain, we can work our way to a more balanced life on earth.

We are working under the chemical restrictions set by the European Union known as REACH. REACH is a regulation that ensures that products imported to Europe live up strict requirements and limits, and all of our products comply with this as a minimum.

We keep in touch with our suppliers.

Transparency is necessary for us to know the many processes throughout our supply chain, understanding our impact and together with our partners reduce it and find better solutions.

Ethical & Fair

Our places of production meet high social standards and working conditions.

It is our responsibility to take care of the people who contribute to the making of our products in our supply chain. Our Code of Conduct, combined with an open dialogue with our suppliers, make sure that working together with us is always for a fair wage and under proper conditions - honest work for honest pay.

Plastics

Plastic is a necessary material for us in many aspects, whether it’s making sure our products are protected during transport or as a versatile and strong fabric.

While we cannot terminate entirely the use of plastics today, we are working towards substituting it with better solutions, reduce the use whenever possible and use as much recycled plastics and recycled synthetic fibres as possible.

We aim to inform and guide our consumers to proper care and washing of synthetics to help catch microplastics when washing.

Paper

The paper we use is from sustainably sourced forests, in hangtags, packaging and in the day-to-day life in the office.
